Research Topic: Study of blends of biobased and biodegradable Poly(propylene carbonate) and Poly(butylene succinate) by means of reactive extrusion. The analysis of two different functionalization routes for the compounding process: free radical grafting using a peroxide initiator and transterification reactions using a catalyst. The use of ultra high speed extrusion to increase reaction rate and tailor the properties of the compatibilized bioblends.
